Mr. Patrick is the Co-Managing Partner of Patrick | Doerr. Michael is widely recognized as a leader in litigation, intellectual property, and entertainment. He is a trusted adviser to clients around the world including celebrities, icons, leaders, global corporations, and start-ups.
Mr. Patrick handles complex litigation matters in diverse industries, with years of experience in high-stakes business, intellectual property, and entertainment disputes. As an advisor, Michael is engaged as an outside general counsel to advise and guide clients through complex issues, helping to achieve growth and break through barriers to success. Mr. Patrick has considerable experience with "bet the company" matters and headline grabbing issues, assisting clients with successful legal strategies, public relations issues, and reputation management. Michael has extensive experience in all aspects of the entertainment and media industries, including idea theft and misappropriation, defamation and reputation protection and management, invasion of privacy, trademarks, copyright, merchandise and licensing, motion pictures, theaters, music, and rights of publicity/name, image and likeness, with extensive experience with celebrities.

Mr. Patrick is active in the entertainment community, including film, television, and theater production. He is at the forefront of major issues, including the impact of Artificial Intelligence in Hollywood, the protection of rights of publicity (including name, image and likeness) for celebrities, artists, and musicians, and ensuring there is a robust ecosystem for the development of film, television, and theater including greater access to financial resources. Mr. Patrick is a member of The Broadway League.
